We went looking for information about holiday get-away’s at the travel show last weekend and found some great practical travel clothes in the process. Three that stood out were pick-pocket proof pants, a travel bra and a vest that doubles as carry-on luggage. Or as they call the vest, “wearable” luggage.

This booth was very popular, with many looking at them very closely. Clothing Arts has designed pants for both men and women that have many hidden pockets, with varying levels of security. As a women, think what it would be like not to have to carry a purse around. Very liberating.
From experience, men’s wallets and cell-phones are “big targets” for pick-pockets. With the double and some tripe levels of security, these pants should end that problem. Zippers and buttons will keep your items secure. The pants also look very nice and do not give the look of bulkiness.

Handee Bra
Handee Bra, great for traveling or every day.
Next, for women, is the travel bra by Handee Bra. It’s a bra with a pocket. A pocket that some money, a credit card, hotel room key can safely be tucked away or if needed a place to stash a passport. They are made of 30% bamboo, which makes them soft, ecological and cleanable. They say, of course, that they are super comfortable and they do come in three colors – black, nude, and pink. May need to try one. An Australian designed the bra. They are “handee” for traveling or even if just taking the dog for a walk. Handee Bra’s website
Wearable Luggage – Vest or Jacket
Inside of the vest has 12 pockets to pack your stuff.
My personal favorite, designed with men in mind, was the “wearable luggage.” Made by Stuffa USA, the inside of the vest has 12 “stuffable” pockets. The vest on display had 4 shirts, 1 pair of pants, several pairs of socks, a travel book, sunglasses, underwear plus one or two other items. Imagine getting onto a plane with NO checked luggage and no carry on – it could happen if you use this fun vest or the jacket. Of course it can be worn every day, the pockets do not have to have anything in them. Just think of the fun (and practicality) that can be had with this vest. Yep this has been added to the wish list, before the next trip.

Travel shows are a must to attend for so many reasons; there were some really good travel deals and an enormous amount of information about many awesome places for you to visit. It typically is the new tech things that are distractions at travel shows, this year – it was the travel clothes.
